7th grade Texas History

Thank you for choosing Gutierrez Middle School of Arts & Sciences for your child. My name is Yesenia Gonzalez. I am in my 11th year of teaching Social Studies at Harlingen CISD. In May 2011, I graduated from the University of Texas at Brownsville (UTB/TSC) with my Bachelor's degree in History/Social Studies Composite 8th-12th grade, a month later I also became certified as a Generalist 4th-8th teacher. In May 2017, I received my Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction specializing in History and Educational Technology from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). I am ESL certified as well as a certified Google Educator. For most of my years at Harlingen CISD, I am also part of the middle school team that puts together the curriculum for each year for Social Studies.
